Folgers & Conversation: Introducing Weekly Farmers Community Coffee

Yep. You read that title right. We’re serving Folgers.

At Espressions: Coffee & Community—the place where we love espresso, specialty drinks, and creating your new favorite “fancy coffee”—we’ve brewed up a big ol’ pot of Folgers. And we couldn’t be more excited about it.

Introducing our Weekly Farmers Community Coffee, served Monday through Friday, beginning around 7:30 a.m. and going until about 9:30 or 10:00 a.m.—or until the pot is gone.

Why Folgers?

There were really two things that drove this decision.

The first is simple: our mission is to build community, and all are welcome. We mean that.

The second came from listening. We’ve heard some version of this more than once:“I’m here because someone I’m with likes the fancy coffee. I just want a cup of regular coffee.”Fair enough.

We LOVE serving the fancy coffee from Cultiva. We love making lattes, espresso drinks, and all the fun creations on our menu and none of that is going anywhere.

But if what makes you happy in the morning is a good old-fashioned cup of coffee poured from a big “church pot,” we think there should be a place for you at our tables, too. So now there is.

$2 Coffee. Refills Included. Conversation Encouraged.

Monday through Friday mornings, we’re brewing a big pot for our Weekly Farmers Community Coffee.

For $2, you get a cup of Folgers with refills included.

That’s it. No fancy name. No complicated ordering.Just coffee. We’ll brew a big “church pot,” and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

Of course, our regular menu is still available, too. You can grab one of our baked goodies, order breakfast, or get your favorite espresso drink.

So, if one person at the table wants a specialty latte and the other wants a $2 cup of Folgers, everybody wins. And hopefully, you stay awhile.

Why “Farmers Community Coffee”?

Because there’s something about a pot of coffee that has always brought people together.

Coffee at the kitchen table. Coffee before the workday starts. Coffee after chores. Coffee at the local diner. Coffee after church. Coffee with someone you haven’t seen in a while.

Sometimes the coffee isn’t really the point. The conversation is.

We want Espressions to be a place where farmers, business owners, retirees, teachers, parents, students, neighbors, friends—and whoever else happens to walk through the door—can pull up a chair.

You don’t have to know anyone. You don’t need an invitation. You certainly don’t have to order fancy coffee. Just come in.

Because Community Is for Everyone

We’ve been intentional about building Espressions around the idea that community comes first. Sometimes that looks like books, art, crafts, food, journaling, events, or supporting local makers. And sometimes? It looks like a $2 cup of Folgers.

This was one small, simple way we could make our tables a little more welcoming to a few more people. And that feels pretty important to us.

So, farmers—and everyone else—come see us Monday through Friday mornings. The Folgers will be hot. The refills are included. The conversation is free.And there’s a seat at the table for you. ❤️
